Our Mission: "To promote and develop the visual arts in Northeast Georgia through diverse exhibits, educational programs and community involvement."
For more than 40 years, the Quinlan Visual Arts Center has helped connect the citizens of Northeast Georgia to the many possibilities, experiences, and wonders that art can bring to their lives. Established in the mid-1940's as the Gainesville Art Association, the Quinlan has grown into a well respected community arts organization known for its commitment to quality programming and educational opportunities for "all ages at all stages" in their artistic development.
The Quinlan Building, located on Historic Green Street in the heart of downtown Gainesville, has become a renowned venue for regional classes and workshops as well as world-class exhibits since it was constructed by Gainesville businessman Leslie Quinlan in 1964. Today, after 40 years of dedicated service to residents, students and visitors, the Quinlan has reopened after a massive renovation that has expanded its facilities to accommodate increasing growth and the continuing demand for its educational and exhibit programming.
The Quinlan Visual Arts Center Board of Trustees proudly welcomes you to come and visit the splendid, renovated and expanded "New Quinlan" arts and education center.
The reopened facility features a two-story, 7000 square foot addition that complements the Italian Renaissance style Architecture of the original structure. The addition includes the magnificent lobby and entrance on Candler Street, additional 1,750 square feet of classroom space, and a museum-quality gift shop
